Working Against Violence Support Service (WAVSS)
The Working Against Violence Support Service (WAVSS) is the Regional Domestic Violence Service in Logan providing free support to women and children experiencing violence in their intimate relationships. We provide crisis support; information, advocacy and advice; counselling for women and children; groupwork; court support; referral; community education; and leadership for the Logan Integrated Community Response (ICR) and Beaudesert Coordinated Community Response (CCR) networks.
Domestic Violence Prevention Centre Gold Coast Inc.
The Domestic Violence Prevention Centre Gold Coast Inc. (DVPCGC Inc.) is a specialist domestic violence service, providing support to women and their children affected by domestic violence. DVPCGC Inc. provides a range of services and supports including crisis intervention, counselling and groups for women and children, court assistance, men’s programs, community education and training and community awareness activities.

The Migrant Women’s Advice Service
Specialist and fee-free immigration advice and assistance for women experiencing domestic or family violence.
For clients based in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, the Migrant Women’s Advice Service provides assistance in-person by appointment only. Please contact the service directly to schedule a face-to-face appointment in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast.
Relationships Australia – Logan
Relationships Australia provides services to people who are disadvantaged and supports people living in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, those suffering from family violence, poor mental health, addictions, people who are socially excluded and those living in remote areas. The service offers individual, relationship and family counselling as well as family dispute resolution, in addition to free support through the Gambling Help Service and Victims Counselling and Support Service.
The Loganholme office services Logan, Beaudesert and Redlands areas and provides telephone and online services.

UnitingCare Community – Helping Out Families
UnitingCare Community, Helping Out Families (HOF) initiative provides intensive family support to families with children (unborn – 18 years) in the Northern Logan region. Practical assistance is provided to families in various ways such as: personal and financial counselling, parenting ideas, home or office visits by family support workers, parenting groups, advocacy and support at stakeholder’s meetings, referrals and support to specialised services including 24 hour 7 days a week on call phone support.
Kingston East Neighbourhood Group
Kingston East Neighbourhood Group (KENG) offers a family support program offering in home emotional and practical support including managing challenging relationships, advocacy and liaison, child development and parenting skills, budgeting, stress management. KENG also offers personal counselling, financial counselling, parenting courses, playgroups, supervised children’s contact service and many other groups enabling great support and friendships to be established eg. card making, sewing, tai chi, computer club and infant massage. KENG also offers an on-site Occasional Child Care.
YFS provides an intervention program for men who use violence or abuse in their relationships. We call our service Responsible Men. We focus on how men can take responsibility to change their behaviour and decision making without using violence, and how to use this knowledge to make positive changes for healthy and safe relationships. We offer evening and day group sessions.
STAAR – Standing Tall Against Abusive Relationships Inc.
STAAR “Standing Tall Against Abusive Relationships” is a physical fitness program specifically designed to empower women who have been or currently are affected by Domestic Violence.
Classes will consist of strength, conditioning and aerobic training sessions. Classes will be run each Wednesday at 9:30am-10:30am and 5:30pm-6:30pm.
STAAR and YOUNGSTAAR will come together regularly to provide joint fitness activities for mums and their children to rebuild the relationship and bond.
South West Brisbane Community Legal Centre Inc.
The Community Legal Centre provides free legal advice and assistance in many areas of law including domestic violence, family law, child protection, civil matters, consumer, credit and debt, motor vehicle accident property damage, wills and enduring powers of attorney. Youth criminal law and Advocacy specialist service and Child Protection Duty Lawyer service at Beenleigh Magistrates Court each Thursday.
Probation and Parole Service
Probation and Parole Service supervises offenders subject to community-based orders and enforces the orders of the courts to break the cycle of re-offending and increase community safety. Offenders who have committed acts of domestic violence are referred to programs and counselling in the community to address their offending behaviour.

The Department of Communities (Child Safety Services) is the lead agency for the whole of government response to child protection in Queensland. The Domestic Violence Assistance Program (DVAP)
The Domestic Violence Assistance Program (DVAP) is a Centacare based service which provides support to those women experiencing domestic violence who wish to access the legal system to obtain Domestic Violence Protection Orders or variations to Orders. This includes assistance with writing applications for Protection Orders, navigation of the court system, support before and during the court process, information, advocacy and referral and development of a safety plan. The Centre Against Sexual Violence (CASV) Logan is a community based sexual assault service providing sexual assault support, education and information for the Logan, Beenleigh and Beaudesert communities.
The CASV provides confidential, safe, respectful services to assist women from 12 years up on their path to healing.
Interact Counselling Services
Interact Counselling Services is a professionally supervised private counselling practise providing quality counselling and support for individuals, couples and families. A range of services is provided to the community, government and non-government organisations. The service maintains ethical sound practise and the staff are tertiary qualified with specialized training in counselling practise.

Logan Uniting Counselling Centre
Counselling centre providing assistance with issues including grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, self esteem, identity

Family Relationship Centre – Logan
Registered family dispute resolution provider. Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners at FRC Logan assist separating or separated parents to resolve parenting arrangements and provide information about the family law system and other family or individual support providers. A Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner may issue a Section 60I Certificate to one or both parties, if joint family dispute resolution is unsuccessful or assessed as inappropriate and they wish to make an application for a family court order.
