Relationships Australia

Relationships Australia provides free Individual, Relationships and Family Counselling, as well as group programs for people affected by domestic and family violence ( including Children) and those who use violence within their families.   The service also offers Domestic and Family Violence Prevention, Family Dispute Resolution, Gambling Help, Parenting Orders Program, Rainbow Service, Relationship Counselling, Supporting Children after Separation and Victims Counselling and Support Service.

The Gladstone office services the Gladstone, Tannum Sands, Boyne Island, Calliope, Biloela and Agnes Water areas – Telephone Services are available for remote areas.

Kingston East Neighbourhood Group


Kingston East Neighbourhood Group (KENG) offers a family support program offering in home emotional and practical support including managing challenging relationships, advocacy and liaison, child development and parenting skills, budgeting, stress management.  KENG also offers personal counselling, financial counselling, parenting courses, playgroups, supervised children’s contact service and many other groups enabling great support and friendships to be established eg. card making, sewing, tai chi, computer club and infant massage.  KENG also offers an on-site Occasional Child Care.

Mackay Regional Community Legal Centre Inc.

MRCLC provides free and confidential legal information and advice, migration advice, referral and counselling, but does not provide court representation.

MRCLC may assist with preparation of family law court documents, such as an Application for Parenting and/or Property Orders, or Parenting and/or Property Consent Orders if agreement is reached about those matters.

UCC Elder Abuse Helpline

The UnitingCare Community Elder Abuse Helpline is a Queensland wide service providing information, advice and referral for people experiencing or witnessing the abuse of an older person (60+ or 55+ for Aboriginal seniors). Statewide training for service providers and awareness sessions for community groups can also be arranged. Free Service.
