The Cape York/Gulf Remote Area Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Care (RAATSICC) Advisory Association is the peak advisory body on children and family matters for Queensland’s Cape and Gulf remote communities. RAATSICC work collaboratively to overcome any barriers to the care and protection of our children. RAATSICC provides support, education and awareness and child counselling services to children and youth and their families experiencing domestic violence in the communities of Lockhart River, Napranum, Kowanyama and Mapoon.  RAATSICC services include:

TRICC Inc. (Tablelands Sexual Assault)

Providing free confidential, professional counselling, support and information for non-offending women and men 15 years and over who have experienced sexual assault at any time. Also for their supportive family and friends. Provide counselling within 90 minutes drive from Atherton and via phone and Skype.

Servicing the Tablelands Regional Council area and the Shires of Croydon and Etheridge.

Womens Centre Cairns

The Womens Centre offers a free service to women in crisis with a focus on domestic violence and homelessness. We offer centre based and outreach services such as : Crisis support, practical & financial support  to obtain housing or escape violence .Young Parent Outreach, &  Intensive Family Outreach.

Cairns Community Legal Centre

Seniors Legal & Support Service provides free legal and support services to seniors who are experiencing (or at risk of experiencing) elder abuse and/or financial exploitation. The Service is staffed by a Solicitor and a Social Worker.

Cairns Regional Domestic Violence Service

Our service provides assistance to adults and children experiencing domestic and family violence. We provide crisis support; counselling for adults and children; assistance with Domestic Violence Protection Orders and court support; information and referral; community education and professional training; and convene the Cairns Integrated Response to Domestic and Family Violence.
