Brilliance Counselling & Consultancy

We offer counselling under Better Access to Mental Health Care. We are able to bulk bill clients who are on low incomes, or have controlled access to income.

We have 4 counsellors who are all trained in counselling victims of domestic violence and some are trained to work with perpetrators of violence.

We are 2 AMHSWs, a Psychologist and an OT with a Masters of Counselling.

We operate extended hours 6 days a week by appointment.

Clients needing to access Medicare Rebates will need a MHCP and referral from their GP, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist.

Private clients are able to be self referred.

Skype appointments are not funded by Medicare but we do offer self funded appointments by Skype.

We also offer DVA Services.

Healing Words Therapy

Workshops for victims of trauma, displacement, mental health issues, domestic violence, child sexual abuse and workshops for workers in the human services industry.

Healing Words Therapy workshops are Creative Writing for Healing programs facilitated for the purpose of bringing about a cathartic release, healing and sometimes closure for the participants. It can be done in any language as the writing is never read out loud unless someone wishes to share.

The workshop can be provided in a group setting of up to 20 people per session or on a one-on-one setting.

Working Women Qld provides free confidential information and advice to women on all workplace issues. Women experiencing domestic violence are a particular focus for our service and for twenty years we have assisted women to uphold their entitlements and maintain their employment, which can be challenging in circumstances of family and domestic violence. We understand that workplaces can play a crucial role for women gaining and maintaining economic independence and that informed and responsive workplaces are essential in supporting women experiencing domestic violence. PCYC Crestmead

PCYC Crestmead was established in 2009 to service the Crestmead and surrounding areas in response to community need and high demand for our services and programs in the community, to make a difference to the lives of local residents.

PCYC Crestmead have launched a new program called RUBY (Rise Up Be Yourself).

RUBY (Rise Up, Be Yourself) is a free physical fitness program for women who are, have been, or likely to be experiencing Domestic and Family Violence (DFV). The program is designed to empower women by building physical strength and contributing to general well-being, emotional resilience, self-esteem and confidence through physical exercise in a violence free and safe environment.

RUBY is not just a fitness class, and it’s a unique program allowing women in a group environment a different outlet and tools to combat the domestic violence cycle. The weekly sessions cover a variety of activities (circuit, boxing, bootcamp etc), with sessions running at the same day and time each week.

The program is suitable for women aged 18+ (with ages 16+ to be considered upon referral / intake and assessment).
