UnitingCare Community

UnitingCare Community is a community service organisation that operates in the key areas of counselling and crisis support; child and family care and training. In Bundaberg, we offer support to separated or separating families, indigenous families, and individuals requiring general counselling support. We also provide specific care in the key areas of domestic violence, financial hardship and early intervention. Training and workshops are available all year round.

Domestic and Family Violence Counselling and Support – Gladstone

Ozcare provides a free and confidential service to people affected by domestic and family violence to help enable the best possible decisions to be made by individuals for themselves and their families.  Services include: counselling either by telephone or face-to-face, emotional support, support groups, information and referral service and community awareness.

Banana Shire Support Centre

BSEASC provides counseling, support, crisis accommodation and information to people and children affected by domestic and/or family violence.  The Service also offers safety planning, domestic violence court support , free legal advice , No Interest loans and group work such as the 1, 2, 3 Magic Parenting Program.

The Migrant Women’s Advice Service

Specialist and fee-free immigration advice and assistance for women experiencing domestic or family violence.

A state-wide telphone service for women and their children experiencing domestic and/or family violence. This service is staffed by a team of dedicated professional counsellors who provide crisis intervention, support, information, advocacy, telephone counselling, referrals and importantly, the statewide coordination of emergency refuge and shelter placements across Queensland.

A state-wide telephone service staffed by male counsellors and offering confidential counselling and information, and acts as a strategic point of referral for Queensland men around issues of domestic and family violence, relationship problems and other significant issues for men.  Dvconnect mensline is able to direct callers to services in their local areas for ongoing support and also provides a Men’s Court Support Service for men who need to attend court as the Aggrieved or Respondent for a Domestic Violence Protection Order.

Cape York/Gulf Remote Area Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Child Care Assoc. Inc

The Cape York/Gulf Remote Area Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Care (RAATSICC) Advisory Association is the peak advisory body on children and family matters for Queensland’s Cape and Gulf remote communities. RAATSICC work collaboratively to overcome any barriers to the care and protection of our children. RAATSICC provides support, education and awareness and child counselling services to children and youth and their families experiencing domestic violence in the communities of Lockhart River, Napranum, Kowanyama and Mapoon.  RAATSICC services include:
