SCOPE Regional Service

SCOPE is a Centrecare based service which provides Domestic and Family Violence (D&FV) court support for aggrieved, court information & referral for respondents and offers a faxback program and community education.  SCOPE also provide counselling including group work for women affected by DV and have a  Men’s Group that work towards behavior changes.

North Queensland Domestic Violence Resource Service

NQDVRS provides information, support and referrals for persons affected by Domestic & Family Violence.  NQDVRS also provides assistance with Domestic & Family Violence Protection Order Applications and Variations.  Domestic Violence Court Support is also provided for both aggrieved and respondents.  NQDVRS provides community education, resources and training on Domestic & Family Violence for Mount Isa and the rural and remote communities.  We also provide community education on the affects of Domestic & Family Violence on Children.

Immigrant Women’s Support Service (IWSS)

The Immigrant Women’s Support Service (IWSS) is a community based organisation providing a domestic violence and sexual assault service response to women and children of non-English speaking backgrounds.  IWSS is a crisis and support service which provides culturally appropriate support, information, short-term counselling and facilitated referrals.  IWSS engages qualified interpreters to assist with communication as required.

Gladstone Women’s Health Centre and Sexual Assault Service

Gladstone Women’s Health Centre and Sexual Assault Service provides free counseling, support, information and referral services for women over the age of 15. The centre has a number of professional counselors available to support women who have experienced sexual abuse, domestic violence, unplanned pregnancy or trauma. The centre also provides a range of health promotion information, educative presentations and/or skill development, which facilitate increased control over social, physical, economic and environmental factors by empowering women to make informed decisions regarding their health and wellbeing.

TRICC Inc. (Tablelands Sexual Assault)

Providing free confidential, professional counselling, support and information for non-offending women and men 15 years and over who have experienced sexual assault at any time.
